birdaynumnum, although that venture didn't last very long, especially when I discovered that a username containing the original quote existed ("Birdie num num" comes from the stupendously hilarious Peter Sellers' movie The Partay which you should all see). Everything from there is contained in here, although there were barely enough entries for me to count on one hand. Everything minus the comments, that is, but there was nothing too exciting going on there. Now stay here!

Yo ho ho and a bottle of cranberry juice. You're now sufficiently initiated into the cavern of Ivan the Terrible. Why "the Terrible"? Perhaps you've heard of Ivan the Terrible, that fear-inpsiring leader of Russia long ago. Well, he's a Slav just like I am, and of course we have the same first name. Therefore, I am "the Terrible" too.

The beautiful background painting I pilfered from here. It's by Henry Darger, a seriously cool solitary janitor who secretly spent his entire life creating a rich fantasy world in his many paintings, drawings, stories, and a 15 000 page illustrated novel. He seemed like a nice guy, too.
